Develop your ability to shade and create texture in pencil drawing with this three-week class. Refine your pencil shading skills, learn pencil and value control, and master the creation of basic textures. Practice techniques to achieve the illusion of texture on a 2D surface, and complete a 9"x12" drawing. Texture adds depth and complexity to your art, enriching your work across various media. Classes meet Wednesday afternoons from 2:00-4:30 p.m., with optional at-home assignments to reinforce studio instruction. Limited to 12 participants, the $35 fee includes all materials.
