Afterschool Art: Fundamentals of Prismacolor Colored Pencils for 5th – 8th Grades
Sharpen your drawing skills! During this four-week class, students in 5th-8th grade will learn how to layer color using Prismacolor Colored Pencils. Students will learn how to properly hold a pencil, how to draw and shade, and create realistic textures using only colored pencil. The class will culminate with a matted 11x14 apple study that students will be proud to display. This four-week class will provide a solid skill base for your young artist to advance their ability and deepen their love of drawing. Class size is limited to a maximum of 10 students. Registration is $40 per student, and all materials are provided. Register online at starkmuseum.org.
This four-week class will meet from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and will focus on specific skill building using colored pencils. Students may be assigned some brief at-home assignments during the course of the class that will reinforce the instruction that is given in the studio. Class size is limited to 10 students to allow one on one time with our Teaching Artist. All materials needed for the class are included in the $40 class.
