Build your drawing techniques by learning how to draw what you see. During this four-week class, students in 5th-8th grade will learn how to successfully create realistic pencil drawings. Students will refine drawing skills by practicing hand eye coordination, create 3-D forms using pencil shading and learn how the use of shadows will add realism and depth to your drawings. The skills learned can apply to techniques across other types of media. Students will complete an 11"x14" still life study.
This four-week class will meet from 4:30-5:30 p.m. and will focus on specific skill building. Students may be assigned some brief at-home assignments during the course of the class that will reinforce the instruction that is given in the studio. Class size is limited to a maximum of 10 students. Registration is $40 per student, and all materials are provided and yours to keep at the conclusion of the workshop.
