This immersive literary experience will reveal the macabre Victorian fascinations that inspired Poe, whose poems and stories are still found in Miriam Stark’s library. This experience brings the Stark family’s library and collections to life, culminating in the third-floor Tower Room with a staged reading of “The Tell-Tale Heart,” “The Raven,” and more in collaboration with Southeast Texas Stages.

- After the 30-minute house experience, extend your visit in the Carriage House with Victorian-inspired art and poetry activities.
- Accessing the historic house requires ascending 6 steps to reach the front porch. This self-guided experience includes 44 consecutive steps up to reach the third floor.
