Travel back in time to discover what early Orange, Texas was like during the time of settlers. Campers will meet different characters from the past and participate in activities from another time. Get ready to explore cowboy skills and equipment, play group games and learn from a trapper how to think like a wild critter, and discover pioneer skills such as planting, making butter, weaving, and more! The devious pirate, Bertrand Bayou will guide campers through time and encourage them to look for clues that may even lead to his treasure. Stories from another time will be told each day to help campers get a glimpse into the past. On the last day of camp, we will be the hunt for the pirate’s treasure using our gathered clues and camper-created maps. Adventure awaits!!!

Parents: As in all of our camps, participants will spend 50-70% of the time outdoors doing hands-on science activities and approximately 30% of the time will be spent indoors working on complementary science and craft activities.
