Breakfast on the Bayou - March 31

These early morning, family-friendly birding tours are offered to showcase the rich and diverse habitat that Shangri La Gardens provides to both resident and migratory birds. Guests will have an opportunity to observe their natural surroundings as we navigate Adams Bayou on a slow-paced bird watching adventure en route to our Beaver Pond outdoor classroom. Whether you’re a seasoned birdwatcher or a curious beginner, this leisurely adventure promises cherished moments and memories for the whole family.

On each date, there will be a bagged breakfast catered by a local food vendor. Breakfast will be set up on the boat dock so participants will be able to grab-and-go immediately before boarding one of our pontoon boats. The boat will leave the dock at approximately 7:30 a.m. and will re-dock no later than 9:00 a.m. Some binoculars and field guides will be available for guests to use during the tour. 

Adults and children 4 years of age or older are welcome to participate. There is a $12 breakfast fee per person for this program. Please note that this program features an easy activity level with some uneven terrain and a .5-mile hike.
